 VISION STATEMENT

 The VISION of Brooksville Fire Rescue is to provide our  residents, businesses, and visitors in our community emergency services designed to minimize risk, and protect lives and property. We will strive to meet these goals by providing prompt and professional emergency response in the event of a fire, medical emergency, natural disaster, or any other hazards which may threaten our community and welfare.

 


MISSION STATEMENT

The MISSION of Brooksville Fire Rescue is to be recognized by our community, and citizens as a “Standard of Excellence” in providing efficent fire and emergency medical services through community education, and prevention. In doing so we will foster a community equity of trust, involvement, and cohesion in response to the concerns and needs of the citizens of our community. 

 
Interim Fire Chief Print

Stan Mettinger Jr. was appointed Interim Fire Chief of the Brooksville Fire Department on September 29, 2017.  Chief Mettinger has been with the City of Brooksville Fire Department since December 2002.  He started his firefighting career as a Volunteer in Virginia where he volunteered from 1971-1999.  He entered the career service in 1979 (also in Virginia) where he worked for both municipal and Department of Defense Fire Departments until 1999.  He holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science and a Bachelors Degree in Fire Administration.  He is a Florida EMT and holds certificates from the Florida State Fire Marshal's Office as Fire Officer IV, Instructor III, Investigator 1, Fire Inspector II and has completed extensive course work from the National Emergency Training Center/National Fire Academy.

BROOKSVILLE FIRE RESCUE RECEIVES IMPROVED PUBLIC PROTECTION CLASSIFICATION!
Brooksville Fire Rescue is proud to announce the new PPC for Brooksville Fire Rescue effective July 1, 2014 is a PPC 3. This new classification also brings the fire department to join the ranks of the top 7.7% of the fire departments in our nation who have a PPC three (3).  Click here to read the full story. Special Details Print


Brooksville Firefighters are available to work special details for events that require fire protection such as sporting events, bon-fires, fireworks, demolition derbies, tractor pulls etc.   The cost is $27.00/hour with a 3-hour minimum.  To schedule a Special Detail contact Interim Fire Chief Stan Mettinger at 352-540-3840 or you may download the form and fax to 352-544-5462.

 
Organizational Structure and Staffing Print

The Organizational Structure of the Brooksville Fire Department consist of an administrative section that includes the Fire Chief and Administrative Assistant. The Operations Section consists of:

• Three District Chiefs
• Three Captains
• Three Driver / Engineers
• Seven Firefighter / EMT's
