Department of Public Works
The Department of Public Works consists of a number of divisions which provide a broad range of services to the public, including:
Street Division
Patching streets;install and repair sidewalks; Cleaning and repairing drainage systems; Mowing right-of-ways; Public construction projects; Maintenance of public buildings and Street signage.
Fleet Maintenance
Maintains all City work vehicles and equipment; Utilization of vendors for vehicle repair, if necessary; Implementation and carry-through of preventive maintenance program for City vehicles and equipment.
Solid Waste Collection of garbage and trash.
Water and Wastewater
Maintain existing water distribution and sewer collection lines; Provide safe drinking water; Provide safe sewage disposal; Maintenance of two sewer disposal plants, three water plants and related equipment.

City of Brooksville Recycling Program
City of Brooksville Recycling Division will no Longer Pick up
The Blue Bags with Recyclable Materials.
Customers are asked to please provide a permanent recycling container(s) and affix a recycling sticker to the container. The city will provide a recycling decal to be placed on your container(s). On recycling days, please place your recycling container(s) at the curb with the decal facing the road so collectors can identify the recyclables.
On the decal is a list of what the City does and does not recycle. If you do not have a decal they are available at no charge at:

Overview: The City of Brooksville is pleased to present the Annual Water Quality Report for Calendar Year 2016. This report is designed to inform you about the quality of water and services delivered to you every day. Staff’s constant goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water. The City is proud to report that our water quality meets or exceeds all State and Federal regulations. It might be noted, that in 2015 the City of Brooksville was judged by the Florida Rural Water Association, to have the best tasting water in the State of Florida.

2018 Holiday Sanitation Collection Schedule - Residential & Commercial Customers.
The Department of Public Works has scheduled collection dates for pick up after a holiday. Recycling will be picked up on Wednesday and is not scheduled to change.
