Advanced position responsible for enforcing the Laws of the Federal Government, State of Florida and City of Brooksville Code of Ordinances.  Duties include, but are not limited to, modern patrol techniques including a working knowledge of Community policing practices, line supervisory skills, defensive tactics, traffic control, police vehicle safety, firearms, investigations, first responder techniques.  Advanced legal knowledge of the criminal justice system and courtroom procedures required, along with daily public contact requiring tact, courtesy and interpersonal communication skills.  Supplemental academic incentive pay for eligible employees.

This is a full-time, hourly position with great benefits to include paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, medical, dental, life insurance and retirement plans.  Annual starting salary is $39,099.06.

An employee in this position is responsible for performing lead tasks of above average difficulty and assisting in the implication of more complex assignments, usually at an assigned community center or playground area.  Under general supervision, the employee performs duties which include overseeing security, building, and equipment maintenance.  The employee is expected to plan activities and programs within guidelines established by the supervisor, and to schedule activities insuring that adequate supplies, transportation and other necessary items are available.  The employee is required to exercise reasonable initiative and independent judgment in supervising, coordinating and promoting recreation activities.  Scheduled programs might require the employee to work irregular hours including nights and weekends.  Work is reviewed through observation, conferences, reports submitted and results obtained.  Primary functions are directed through and supervised by the Park/Facilities and Recreation Director.

This is a full-time position.  The starting salary is $13.59 per hour plus excellent benefits, including medical insurance, paid holidays, leave and retirement.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Responsible for departmental management of all fire administration, operations and activities including fire prevention, suppression, technical services, emergency and rescue services, investigations, and hazard mitigation.  Exercises internal control over all department activities, uses administrative discretion in accomplishing assignments, and is responsible for departmental budget.  May be called out in emergencies, scheduled to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.  When directed, assumes duties as directed by the City Manager.

This position installs, repairs and maintains water and sewer system components, according to City standards and regulations; ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision. This position requires mechanical aptitude to exercise good independent judgment. Subject to call out in emergencies, scheduled to work nights, weekends and/or holidays on occasion as necessary. This position is supervised by the Crew Leader with ultimate oversight by the Public Works Supervisor.
