SPECIAL QUALIFIYING PERIOD FOR COUNCIL SEATS
AUGUST 12, 2024 – NOON TO AUGUST 16, 2024 - NOON
Notice is hereby given that the City of Brooksville, Florida, will hold a City Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of electing one City Council member representing Seat “3” for a term of four (4) years through December, 2028 and Seat “4” for an unexpired four year term through December, 2026.
The first day for qualifying begins August 12, 2024, at noon, and the final day for qualifying is August 16, 2024, at noon. Qualifying paperwork must be received by noon on August 16, 2024, at the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections, 16264 Spring Hill Drive, Brooksville, Fl 34604, during regular office hours.
Candidates for the City Council must submit regular financial reports with the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections, following the deadlines specified by the Florida Division of Elections, which can be found at: https://www.hernandovotes.gov/.
Candidates are required to have continuously resided in the City of Brooksville for at least one (1) year immediately prior to qualifying.
Each candidate shall be voted upon by the electorate at-large. To qualify as a registered voter for this City Election, you must register with the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections by October 7, 2024.
