Mayor, Blake Bell, gave a heartfelt presentation about Sandra Snow Sullivan with Council Members, Thomas Bronson and Casey Thieryung, sharing memories about her time as their Principal while they attended the Methodist School.
Sandra Snow Sullivan was born October 13, 1946, in Brooksville, Florida, to Addison Eugene “Gene” Snow and Doris Lewis Snow. As part of one of Hernando County’s oldest families, Sandra had immense pride in her family history. In 1969, following her formal education from St. Leo University, Sandra married W. Paul Sullivan. Soon after, Sandra began teaching in the Hernando County system until 1974, when she became the first Director of the Methodist School Center in Brooksville
Sandra remained the director of the Methodist School Center of Brooksville for 39 years. She was integral in the nurture and education of hundreds of children in Hernando County throughout the years. She provided leadership and love through her guidance as Head of School and through her dynamic music ministry, training children in life wisdom and in the fundamentals of faith. She believed that teaching children about Jesus through song would be the foundation for them to deal with life’s challenges for years to come.
Sandra, believing music to be so integral in her faith journey, painted “Great is Thy Faithfulness” on the wall of her beautiful home…one of the ways she would share about the Lord’s faithfulness to her.
Sandra passed away on November 4, 2022, she is survived by her sister, Sue Snow Wilson and husband, Lyle E. Wilson, and sister Sara Snow of Brooksville; her daughter, Katie Sullivan MacGregor and husband Revill MacGregor of Rock Hill, South Carolina, son W. Addison Sullivan and wife Erin Chatman Sullivan of Brooksville, and daughter Sallie Sullivan Crumbaker and husband Brian Crumbaker of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren Revill Sanders MacGregor, Jr., Lexie Kate Crumbaker, Keelie Mein Crumbaker, Annie Hop McGregor, Troxler Addison Sullivan, Charlotte Elizabet Sullivan and Quinn Harper Sullivan.
I think she is Blake’s aunt… will need to confirm his relationship from the information he provides during the Council Meeting
